If you love meeting designer makers and seeing beautiful handmade wares then a visit to a Crafty Fox Market should definitely be on your to do list! Yesterday I did just that and hopped on a train to London to head to the Dogstar in Brixton. Everyone with a stall has been specially hand-picked and the quality of work is amazing. The market spanned three floors, with a great variety of stalls, a screen printing workshop and a pop up tea room from The Teas Knees where we enjoyed very yummy mini carrot cakes. We were in the first 25 people through the door so we got free Etsy tote bags to safely stow our purchases in!
I loved the linen and crochet sewing and knitting accessories by namolio, so delicate and pretty, they would make a great addition to any sewing box.
I was really excited to see an enticing display of felt goodies from Pygmy Cloud, I have seen their weather based creations before on Etsy so it was great to see them in the flesh!
I also met another lovely toy designer who makes a luxury range of animals called “Best in Show”. Terri Leahy had polar bears and penguins sitting happily alongside dogs and cats, all beautifully made and with the best facial expressions and personalities!
After looking at all this amazing work we headed upstairs to the screen printing workshop run by Mr. Wingate. Matt made a fox bag for me and I printed one of my dinosaurs for him!
I would highly recommend a visit to one of these brilliant markets, keep an eye on the Crafty Fox Market’s blog to find out future dates. Pop back soon to see what I came home with!
